On 28.01.1997 Seven Samaritans from Pune infused with the aim of building an organisation of Retired Forest Employs planted the seedling of Sevanivrutt Vana Karmachari Sangh (SEVAK), Pune which has now blossomed into Sevanivrutt Vana Karmachari Sangh, Maharashtra after twnty three years with eleven branches spread all over Maharashtra State.
The members of Sevanivrutt Vana Karmachari (Sevak) Sangh, Maharashtra are retired forest employs belonging to different cadres like Forest Guard, Forester, Range Forest Officer, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Conservator of Forests, Chief Conservator of Forests, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of executive wing and others belonging to ministerial wing spread all over state of Maharashtra. They carry with them the varied assortment of vast experience in Forestry and allied subjects.
